Oriental Land Co., which operates  Tokyo Disney Resorts , is offering a summer-only version of Disneyland's mainstay attraction, Splash Mountain, to help park visitors beat the heat.

Available until Aug. 31, Splash Mountain's "Get Wet Max" soaks guests more than usual when the ride drops into the waterfall basin.

Many stood in line for the attraction when the special version began July 1, with some wearing a raincoat.

The special version is an alternative experience to a traditional water-splashing event, which is suspended this summer as well.

The theme park is also offering summer-themed food and drinks for a limited time as part of its "Suisui Summer" (Smooth summer) collection.

There is a Daisy Duck-themed tropical fruit sundae, while the "Make a Change" sauce allows diners to enjoy a different flavor when they add it to their favorite dish.
