There were handmade capes, bunny shirts, heart-shaped sunglasses, pink outfits, glitter, bucket hats and plenty more

Love Saves the Day is marking its 10th anniversary and this year's festival also coincides with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, so it's fair to say that Bristol was expecting festival-goers to dress for the occasion - and they certainly did. Bucket hats, crop tops and even handmade capes donned the festival grounds on the first day of the event today (Thursday, June 2).

There was even a bunny-print shirt. And many faces were covered in glitter, despite it being banned this year - even bio-glitter - as part of organisers' sustainability pledge.

The rain held off today, which meant music-lovers could don their festival finery and dance in the sunshine, without needing to ruin their outfit with a raincoat (though we're sure they'd have done one of those justice, too). Some 30,000 people were expected to make their way through the festival gates today, with another 30,000 planned to attend tomorrow (Friday, June 3).

Gates opened for the 2022 festival just after 12pm this afternoon and those attending today will see music from acts including Bicep, Kurupt FM, Ross From Friends, Sub Focus, Caroline Polachek and more, across 10 stages. Organisers have dubbed this year's event, which falls on the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, "a Jubilee party like no other to celebrate a decade of love" adding that it looks set to be "the biggest Love Saves the Day Festival to date".

So far, it seems, that almost everything has gone to plan - aside from a few acts that have been forced to cancel their performances due to illness and airline issues. The festival's decor has been looking incredible in the sunshine - take a look at some of the beautiful people in attendance today, too...
